Full Version: What is XFT.Lib?

Jugoslav,
what does the XFT.lib file do? Is there any source provided for this? I am having compatibility/installation problems on a new computer and with the latest version of IVF, so wanted to rebuild all the libraries, but could not do this one.

Thanks,
David

Hi David,
It doesn't do much useful -- it's provided for backward compatibility for projects which used the old version of Xeffort. You can safely skip it.

If I do not explicitly USE XFTLIB is there any way that this library is linked with my project?

As I said, I was getting serious issues with MSVS and IVF (IDE crashing unpredictably). Even though I am not using XFTLIB, I did rebuild it along with making other changes, and I cannot replicate the error now, and neither can Intel.

Thanks,

David

There has never been such a thing as XFTLIB; if you mean XFT, the answer is "no". Actually, you would have to specify "XFT.lib" in linker settings to get it pulled in.
